PROJECT DATA AND OBJECTIVES TO BE ACHIEVED
After meeting with the client, he asked us about the need of the British multinational chemical company with a subsidiary in Spain, Croda Ibérica, for a new solution that would integrate with Avaya IP telephony, since it has an audio system without a full range for the entire plant .
Once the case was raised with our experts, we proposed the installation of different loudspeakers and the project used Axis Communications technology.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT
For its realization, different loudspeakers were installed using Axis Communications technology.
Fifty loudspeakers were installed in IP, of three model types:
- Axis C1000-E Network Cabinet that includes the AXIS Audio Manager Edge solution already integrated. It enables efficient management and control of the audio system and supports area management, content scheduling, as well as speaker status monitoring.
- Axis C2005-E Network ceiling speakerthat connects to the IP network and uses a standard network cable for both power (Power over Ethernet) and connectivity. It is based on open standards for easy integration with its video management software(VMS), Voice over IP(VoIP) telephony (using SIP) and Axis analytics, both of which are used for the office environment.
- Axis C1310-E Network Horn Speaker used in outdoor and high noise density environments. It is an all-in-one unit including power amplifier and signal processing (DSP).
All of them are also integrated to the client's telephony, thus facilitating security throughout the premises.
In addition, the entire plant was cabled, integrating the system with the Avaya PBX.
RESULT
The installation of network loudspeakers and other audio technologies have helped reactive monitoring to improve safety at the facility. In this case, it has enabled the same emergency communication to be made to all Croda Ibérica personnel. This ensures that all company personnel hear the same warning in real time throughout the site, thus ensuring safety at all times.
In this way, a need of the company has been solved, through a new advanced technological solution. After four months of work, Croda Ibérica now has a fully upgraded public address system and wiring throughout the site, with a short and medium term growth forecast to expand this device in the coming months.
In addition to the level of security that can be enhanced by playing the right sounds and messages, audio solutions can also contribute to the safety of people at a site. Messages played through networked audio loudspeakers networked audio speakers can not only communicate with a large number of people simultaneously, e.g. in the event of an emergency, but also provide useful safety information. All of this can also make it possible to play reminders of social distancing rules during the current pandemic situation or help with crowd management.
