TRANSCOMA Group relies on AVAYA for the restructuring and unification of all its communications.
Grupo Transcoma, one of the most powerful and solid holdings of companies related to national and international trade, is carrying out a deep restructuring of its communications -with Avaya and Electrotel-, as a key piece for its international implementation strategy.
The first contact between Transcoma - a company dedicated mainly to maritime, customs, freight forwarding and logistics services - and Electrotel took place a few years ago due to dissatisfaction with the maintenance of a switchboard at the Barcelona headquarters.
Thus began the beginning of a relationship that would lead to a global communications unification project that continues to be completed.
"We were looking for a partner to whom we could entrust the maintenance of our obsolete PBX. We were not satisfied with the service we were receiving so far, nor with the high costs. After a lot of comparison, we chose Electrotel because they were professional from the very first contact.
Their advice has been key to the entire restructuring process, as we are aware that communications is at the heart of our strategy," explains Giles Antonio, Director of Organization and Systems.
The renewal of switchboards has not only been carried out at the Barcelona headquarters, but also in Barajas, Coslada and Valencia... so the 26 Transcoma offices spread throughout Spain, Europe and North Africa, with more than 400 extensions (already approximately 250 extensions belong to Avaya), will be progressively upgraded.
"The main objective of our organization is to offer our customers comprehensive logistics solutions that help them develop their business relationships both nationally and internationally," continues Giles Antonio, "and to achieve this we had to modernize our telephony,
and to achieve this we had to modernize our telephony, replacing PBXs with Avaya IP Office v.8.1.
